When the
name trolley is read most people think of the trolley used in supermarkets for
shopping. But trolleys come in different shapes for different purposes. Ball
Transfer Units can be considered to be trolleys as trolley essentially
is a platform on wheels used to move material from point A to point B.
There are
many types of trollies. Flatbed trolley comprises of a flatbed used for
carrying material, depending on the type of load the platform is made of wood
or metal. The swivel casters are used for trolleys that carry lighter goods.
Some trolleys like sack trolleys can have two wheels or four wheels.
Stainless
steel trolleys are mainly used by catering and medical industry. They are
sterile and are made of high-grade stainless steel.
Turntable
trolleys have steering plate fitted in the front and easily manoeuvrable even
when loaded with goods. Airport trolleys despite their name are commonly used
in shopping centers also. They are normally made of aluminium and are stackable
inside one another saving space.

most convenient for moving material and can be custom designed to suit the
specific requirements.
They are
easily manoeuvrable and well balanced.
Trolleys
come in various shapes and sizes. Trolley Wheels are made of
different materials. They must be selected based
on the purpose for which they will be used. Main criteria for selection are the
load requirements and the surface on which they will be used.
